Convert m3u or m3u8 file to mp4 easily

Thing you have to know is m3u and (or) m3u8 file is not a media file but it is a playlist containing media file itself, so you can't convert m3u or m3u8 to mp4 directly.

It means that if you use online converter to do it then it will be fail, i know this information from an expert on Google Search result and when i tried to prove, i know that it's true.

Although, that's not make the convertion process will be difficult because i will show you how to make the m3u and m3u8 file become mp4 file so that you can easily play the file as media on all media players that support mp4 media file.

The method i'm using is to extract the m3u or m3u8 file using text editor then find out the media file which usually listed as TS file, then use the online media converter to make the TS file become mp4 file.

• I'm using computer not a smartphone when did it.

• Before you go to the steps, you must have software named notepad++ or if you have another text editor that be able to open the m3u or m3u8 file then ignore this.

• (Optional) The next software you need is video editor like Freemake, AVS, Avidemux or another similar software.

• Internet connection as well.

1. I assume that you have downloaded the m3u or m3u8 file which usually have m3u or m3u8 ekstension and the file size is lower than mp4.

   

2. Open the m3u or m3u8 file using notepad++ or other similar text editor then you will see the list containing sources (link) of the TS media files.

3. Block the one of the file source dan copy.

4. Open your browser then go to Online video converter to MP4.

5. On the site, click on Enter URL then paste your link (file source) you have copied then click Add URL, it will be downloaded by the site as to get the file.

6. After the download has been done by the site, click Start convertion and wait for process.

   Or if you want to change the properties and parameters of the video result then you can set it on the available optional settings.

   As the recomended preset, you need to set the resolution to 1280x720 HD 30p or 480p 30pfs on Choose a Preset option.

7. Done, wait a moment, it will automatically downloaded to your computer's drive.

   Or if it's not, then you can click the Download button on bottom.

   Do the same thing to another files that listed in notepad++.

8. If you want to pack all videos to only one video, after all have been downloaded you need to use video editor to do it.
